Every students has an academic dream but dreams can only become reality when efforts to actualized them are put into place. For any academic dream to be actualized, one needs to be focused. Take a sprinter as a case study, to win the race, he forgets any distractions coming from the cheers of fans but focusing on his target, he runs within his track to win the prize. Such should be the life of every student. There is bound to be distractions as u soar higher- coming from friends, activities to mention but a few. Never lose focused on your target be like the sprinter, concentrate on what you hope to achieve and forget about any form of distraction,for it is a hindrance to your dream. The federal government has declared Monday 26th of June and Tuesday 27th of June 2017, as public holidays to mark the Eid-el-fitri celebration. The minister of interior,  Abdulrahman Dambazau made this statement on behalf of the federal government. He enjoined all Muslim faithfuls and Nigerians in general to use the celebration as a moment of sober reflection and pray for peace and unity of the nation. The Joint admission and matriculation Board (JAMB) has concluded plans for the supplementary exam slated for 1st of July,2017. Following an interview with JAMB head of media Mr Fabian, he stated that those to write the exam would be notified via; 1. Text message which would be sent to the phone number used during registration. 2. Email of such candidate 3. Candidate's online profile However all candidates are advised to login and check if they are to write the exam. We cannot say how many of these withheld results that have been released at this time because JAMB is yet to make any official statement to that effect. Nevertheless, many candidates with issue of "No Result Yet" previously have been able to access their results. The authorities of Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi wishes to inform the polytechnic community that the resumption date for second semester of 2016/2017 academic session has been readjusted Wednesday, 28th June, 2017. All students (New & Returning) are expected to report for registration from said date. JAMB has denied opening the portal for candidates to change or correct their course, institution. This announcement came after a large crowd stormed the Ikoyi, Lagos office of JAMB, claiming that JAMB closed the portal to Accredited CBT Centres because they were extorting the candidates. The candidates claimed that JAMB had instructed all CBT centres to refer candidates to only their offices Nationwide. It was even reported that 9 Candidates Fainted due to the crowd, while trying to successfully effect a change in their Course/Institution. JAMB is currently withholding 80,889 Results, and has said that all will be released before Admission for 2017/2018 Commence. This brings the total of released JAMB Results at 1,606,901. Prof. Oleyede pointed out that the results of candidates with "Super Rich" parents, who paid 200,000 for upgrade of results are still under investigation, adding that "Next year we are going to put electronic jammers in all the CBT centres. They better start to think of another way because we know that is what they do and we will also plan ahead of them." He said a total of 640 candidates could not write their exams because of Biometric Verification Issues. He said the issue has now been identified, and that this set of candidates will be made to write their own exams under his very own supervision.
