The 2017 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), has been released, by the West African Examination Council. According to Mr.Olu Adenipekun the council's Head of National Office, about 133,223 candidates wrote the Exam, 65,483 obtained credits in five subjects, 46, 824 obtained credit and above in six subjects. 34,664 candidates had credit in five subject and above, with the inclusion of English Language and Mathematics. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) , has suspended the sales of the 2018 UTME application form, which was earlier announced to begin from November 22nd, 2017. This is as a result of the inability of the publisher of the compulsory reading text to meet the deadline given to him, which was November 7th 2017. JAMB regrets any inconvenience occasioned by the postponement, and promise to announce a new date

The second batch list of UTME and Direct Entry Students, admitted into the Ambrose Alli University (AAU), is out. Candidates are to visit https://aaue.waeup.org/applicants/ checkstatus  then enter JAMB Reg Number and Surname,  then click Submit.

The management of University of Ibadan has announced the extension, of the deadline of change of course, for candidates who did not score up to the cutoff of their course. The deadline earlier pegged at November 15th, 2017 has now been extended to 22nd November, 2017.

After a meeting held at Abuja with Heads of Tertiary Institutions and other stakeholders , the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has announced that the sales of UTME form will start from November 22nd, 2017 till January 22nd 2018, and the mock exams is scheduled between January 22nd and 27th, 2018. Candidates interested in the mock Exams are encouraged to register on or before December 31st and should include the mock Exams during registration. The registration fee is N5,000 for Nigerian candidates and 20 dollars for Foreign Candidates.
