According to report, the Academic Staff Union of Universities ( ASUU ), has called off its strike. The suspension came after a meeting was held on Monday with the federal government, and a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the government. The strike has been suspended till the end of October, for the Federal government to fulfill their promise.

The NationalExamination Council (NECO) has released the 2017 Examination result, that was conducted between June and July. Candidates can check their result on the councils website   http://www.mynecoexams.com Statistics showed that 745,053 candidates who wrote the Examination had credit in English and Mathematics, while 947,850 had credit in five Subjects irrespective of English and Mathematics. Prof. Charles Uwakwe, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NECO disclosed that about 50,586 Candidates were involved in Examination Malpractice, and about 276 Schools in 34 States were equally involved

The management of Delta State University Abraka, has released the departmental cut off following the  just concluded Screening.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities( ASUU) has agreed to the offer made by the Federal Government This came as a result of a closed door meeting held yesterday, between the Union and the Federal government. The Union President, Biodun Ogunyemi speaking to Newsmen, said the proposal would be taken to the Members and a final decision be given in a weeks time. Mallam Adamu Adamu, the Minister of Education, said the demands of the Union has been addressed, and the Federal government would get feedback next week.

This is to inform all candidates who applied Federal University of Technology, Minna that registration for screening is on. All UTME candidates including those with awaiting results can register on www.futminna.education.ng while Direct entry candidates will be able to register as from Monday 9th October - Sunday 22nd October, 2017. Candidates are to pay the sum of N2000 for computer Based Test screening, and N1000 for processing fee via REMITA platform. Deadline for registration for UTME candidates is Friday 15th September,2017 as the screening is slated for Monday 18 - Friday 22nd September, 2017 while Direct Entry is Tuesday 24th October - Thursday 26th October,2017.
